10 Marvel Heroes For The New Mystery Game
6. Captain America
If you want adventure, Captain America has it in spades. Sure, he wears the symbol of the U.S. on his chest, but he's a hero for everyone. He's not the nationalist symbol that you might mistake him for based on his outfit. He's a global hero who just wants to do right, and there's something charming about that unshakeable moral compass. He's an immediately likeable protagonist.
If Skydance wanted to do a modern day geopolitical action-adventure piece, they very well could. Cap has plenty of characters with whom he could interact, be they villains or supporting heroes. Alternatively, if they wanted to set it in the past, they could do that just as well. It wouldn't have to be a war game. The first three Indiana Jones movies took place in the years leading up to WW2, and those weren't even close to war movies.
If they did want a war game, though, then you've got that built into this character's DNA, and not just Steve Rogers. Hennig and company could branch out and follow Isaiah Bradley, instead. Since they wouldn't be adhering to comic lore, they could really do whatever they wanted, and that's reason enough to consider giving Cap an outing.
