10 MASSIVE Video Game Leaks For 2020 You Need To Know
8. Two New Silent Hill Games Are Coming In 2020
The cancellation of Silent Hills seems to be the wound that will never heal. Hideo Kojima's reinvention of the long-standing franchise was one of the most anticipated games of all time, with help from filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and Walking Dead star Norman Reedus. Unfortunately, the public fallout between Konami and Kojima put an end to that and Silent Hills vanished into the ether.
However, Konami recently broke their silence on the matter and confirmed that they have been considering a way to bring the series back. That, on its own, would be exciting and worth talking about. But recent leaks have bolstered this news, claiming that two Silent Hill games are in development for release n 2020.
They are described as a "soft reboot" for the franchise, which could be nothing but a great thing considering how messy the current Silent Hill canon is. Even more exciting is that Masahiro Ito, art director on previous games in the series, has been talking about his work on a mystery project.
His tweet also included some subtle shade at the cancellation of Silent Hills. It could be a coincidence, but the thought of a new Silent Hill game with some of the old Team Silent development team is worth getting hyped for.
