7. A New Crash Bandicoot Game Is Coming

It has been a long road for Crash Bandicoot's return. It started small, with a Skylanders appearance and lots of rumours and whispers that lead to a spectacular remake of the first three Crash games.

The redemption arc for one of the hottest characters of the 90s has been something special to watch. So just imagine what it would be like if someone, anyone, made a brand-new Crash Bandicoot game.

Well, that's exactly what recent leaks have suggested. Though rumoured to be revealed at Sony's December State of Play event, then the 2019 Game Awards, there was nary a peep out of the marsupial. Regardless, all of these leaks have pinned the new Crash game to launch sometime in 2020. Perhaps all will be revealed at the PlayStation 5 reveal event.

The leaks have, however, been consistent about one thing. They all describe a 3D platformer, with a semi-open world, similar to Crash Twinsanity. Toys For Bob, the team responsible for the Crash and Spyro remaster collections, is also rumoured to be the developer of the project. It all sounds wonderful and will hopefully be revealed sometime this year.
