10 Mature Film Franchises That Would Make Great LEGO Video Games
2. The Alien Franchise
2014's Alien Isolation proved that great video games can still be made based on the first Alien film. It did much to restore the damage done by Colonial Marines. The second film, Aliens, served up sci-fi action - despite its tonal shift from horror to sci-fi action.
Why can't a LEGO game offer the same mix of sci-fi, horror and action? Darkness and menacing creatures have already been seen in LEGO Lord of the Rings with the Nazgul/Ringwraiths.
Then there's a snappy dialogue of Aliens: Hudson's "Game over, man. It's Game Over!", Vasquez's war cry of "Let's rock!" and Newt's calm terrifying admission about the xenomorphs: "They mostly come out at night. Mostly." All good stuff.
Horrific exploration and adventure would be key in this imagined LEGO compilation. Offering derelict spaceships and space stations, the prison from 3, the colossal ships and structures of Resurrection, Prometheus and Covenant...plus all of the associated survival horror; it's a classic waiting to happen!
Who wouldn't want to fight in a LEGO power loader against a Queen xenomorph from Aliens?
