10 Media Franchises That Need The LEGO Treatment
8. Alice in Wonderland
Alice in Wonderland originated as a series of two books,
titled Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass, and What
Alice Found There. The poems The Hunting of the Snark and Jabberwocky are also
considered part of the original source material.
The series has been adapted various times. Two of the most notable adaptations are the 1951 animated film Alice in Wonderland produced by Disney and the 2010 film, also titled Alice in Wonderland, and its sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass. The later films feature an all star cast including Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway.
Adapting the classic franchise into a LEGO game would be an
interesting new take on the world of Wonderland. The comical style of the LEGO
games would blend perfectly with the wild and wacky style of the Alice
franchise. While the obvious thing to rework into a LEGO title would be the 2010
and 2016 films, there is always the option to directly adapt from the books
themselves. The LEGO games based around DC and Marvel take the characters from
their respective comic book universes and plunge them into new and exciting
stories crafted by Traveller’s Tales, and the same thing could be applied to
the Alice in Wonderland franchise.
