10 Misunderstood Video Game Consoles The World Should Have LOVED
1. PlayStation Classic
If there was ever a console which should have done well around the world and offered us a sense of nostalgia along with some of the best titles in recent memory, it should have been the PlayStation Classic.
Piggy-backing on to the recent trend set by Nintendo with their own micro-consoles pre-loaded with games, Sony should have knocked it out of the park with this one.
The look and design of the console was everything we wanted to see, with the original look and feel of the PlayStation being brought back to life.
So what went wrong?
Well, Sony didn't fill the console with titles like Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot etc.
This became the takeaway message, but it overlooks the fact that the PS Classic comes with literally some of the best video games of all time. Tekken 3, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, plus Wild Arms and Syphon Filter and a handful of other household name franchises you've likely heard about but never had access to.
Yes, it "could've been better", but don't let the system's reputation put you off playing so many classics in one place.
