10 (More) Forgotten Video Game Franchises That Need To Make A Comeback

7. Bushido Blade

BushidoBlade Realistic fighting? By Japanese swordsmen? I€™m confused; where are the pandas and girls in bikinis...? Bushido Blade is a dramatic departure from beat €˜em ups such as Tekken, Dead or Alive or even Street Fighter. There is no health bar, and most hits are instantly fatal. However, it€™s possible to wound your enemy €“ stabbing their leg won€™t kill them, but they€™ll begin to limp and move slowly. This led to an incredibly tense, realistic fighting experience €“ and surprisingly enough, the critics loved it. IGN gave the game an 8.7, Gamespot an 8.9, and Playstation Magazine an 8 out of 10. With so many similar beat €˜em ups on the market, surely space can be found for another Bushido Blade €“ a fighter for those who like fighting games, not Japanese school-girls in mini-skirts.
