10 More Insane Lies Told On Video Game Box Art

Will Wright's Spore was something a theologian paradox, a god-game which conversely promoted a decidedly Darwinian view on things, allowing you to guide the most primitive of creatures up the evolutionary ladder from single-celled amoeba to highly-advanced, space-faring civilisations. And they'd probably have three eyes.

But no matter how well you played God, genetic tinkering would never result in a species quite like the two on the game's cover proudly puffing out their segmented chest plates. Simply put, no such physical feature existed amidst its procedurally generated multitude. This box art might be considered somewhat the opposite of 'intelligent design'.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
