10 More Movies That Need To Be Video Games

3. Taken (2008)

Plays Like - Max Payne 3, The Bourne Conspiracy Developer - Take Two Despite being a borderline racist and morally dubious film in which Liam Neeson sets out to punch the sex trafficking industry in the face, it's hard to resist the sleazy thrills of Taken. For a start it's just nice to see Liam Neeson showing us that he can kick some serious arse, and do so without losing any credibility even when faced with a script which contains such hoking likes as "I'll tear down the Eiffel Tower". Who knew a film which jumps between bone crunching action and unpleasant depictions of underage prostitution could be so fun ? Taken delivers as a deliriously sadistic slice of 80's style action, with Neeson's Ex-CIA man Bryan Mills being a fascinating central character. He seems to think that if you go anywhere in Europe, very bad things will immediately happen to you. Thankfully he's prepared with a very particular set of skills to find those responsible and kill them, making him a lethal mix of Jason Bourne and Richard Littlejohn. Playing as Mills, an open-world rendition of Paris is yours to explore, with the aim being to hunt down your daughter and her captors before it's too late. Expect lots of graphic torture, brutal action and gratuitous stereotypes.
