A few years ago a group called Termacious Trickocity stumbled into a very cool secret in Halo: Reach. Essentially what they found were cutscene rooms floating in the Abyss as it turns out the game was using actual set pieces built in the game world to serve as the framing for cutscenes.

The group actually spent seven years trying to get a good look at what they nicknamed the Red Room, the in-game Destroyed Science Wing used for the cutscene in the middle of the ninth campaign level, The Package.

Through intensive testing and investigating various methods the group did eventually get it right and the result is seriously cool.

Again , I’ve got to point you to their YouTube channel for the full story and full video because it’s worth checking out if you’re a fan. Absolutely never intended to be seen by players but absolutely epic to be discovered.
