http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqvCqk5WDrQ Farsight is the sort of weapon that only the most dementedly sadistic video game developer would ever allow to be put into an online game, but so far, it's only cropped up in Rare's masterful N64 shooter Perfect Dark. Against AI, it is a major asset, but if players were ever allowed to unleash it upon a dozen strangers online, it would result in chaos, lots of crying 12 year olds, and a whole lot of frustration. This, basically, is the ultimate "noob" weapon if ever used online, but created before the days of online warfare, it is, simply, totally badass. It's a weapon so criminally efficient that it almost makes us feel bad, as though it makes the game too easy, because, believe it or not, this weapon can see through walls, but that's not even the best part. The weapon can also fire through walls, killing every enemy in any conceivable vicinity and basically making your time a whole lot easier. It's a ridiculous weapon that basically makes us feel like God, and though it doesn't have the personal touch of some of this list's gore-blasters, it's the ultimate in slick, sophisticated tech, and for that, it is totally badass.
