10 Most Brutally Hard First-Person Shooter Levels In Video Game History
1. Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Mile High Club
Living up to it's reputation, the Mile High Club is an epilogue level unlocked upon the completion of the campaign of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, although it has nothing to do with the campaign’s story. This bonus mission has you attempt to navigate your way through a hostage situation aboard a moving aircraft, all with a severely limited amount of time to do so.
This is already pretty hard on a normal difficulty setting, but on Veteran mode it is a short and concise exercise in futility. You only have one minute to reach the hostage, which forces you to both know exactly what you’re doing and to act with precision in a very short amount of time; anything less and you will either die within seconds or fail the mission. The level is also cramped with little room for cover, making it even harder to avoid enemy fire.
All of that sounds simple and easy, but don’t be fooled. This is a timed test of one’s COD skills that only the most hardcore and dedicated fans would ever even think to complete. It’s notorious for being one of the most punishing missions in the Call of Duty franchise.
Noobs best think twice before attempting this, unless you want to spend your time dying on repeat for hours.
