10 Most Brutally Hard First-Person Shooter Levels In Video Game History

2. Arma 3 - Bingo Fuel

From the same developer as Operation Flashpoint, the Arma series is one of the most realistic shooters on the market. This of course means it can be uncompromisingly hard, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the seventeenth level of Arma 3, Bingo Fuel. In this mission you have to raid an enemy complex and capture a fuel truck, but as usual things don’t go as planned.

This is one of the longest and more action packed missions of the game, and has proved to be frustratingly difficult for many. The nature of this mission, which involves surprise ambushes, forces you to adapt to ever changing situations. No two players have the exact same experience, which adds a layer of spontaneity to the experience that enhances replayability. Enemy tanks and APCs are also plentiful, and if they spot you you might as well get started digging your own grave.

While smart tactical thinking is necessary for any Arma mission, Bingo Fuel really amplifies this to the point where many people feel it is flat out impossible. This of course isn’t true; with careful planning, mindful squad control, and a little luck you can see it through to the end. It does put you through the ringer though, and that makes victory all the sweeter.
