10 Most Criminally Underrated Video Games Of 2018 (So Far)

3. Pokémon GO

2018 Pokémon GO is not 2016 Pokémon GO. Not by a LONG shot.

Besides the groundswell player count that's now back up to a whopping 147 million all battling over gyms as I type this, the app itself has been overhauled and revamped in all the best ways.

Gen 2, 3 and Alolan Pokemon are now in, as is trading, friend lists and bonuses if you stick together. Spawns happen around the clock so expect ghosts after midnight, whilst real-world weather in your region will dictate buffs, certain additional spawns and how Pokemon perform in battle.

You can take part in Raids to nab rarer pokemon as a team, walk with a buddy to grind out candy, complete quests and research tasks for Legendaries and best of all, the newest in-game tracking feature pinpoints EXACTLY where to go on your map for that next silhouetted creature.

Like the state of No Man's Sky after another couple year's worth of updates, Pokémon GO is finally earning every bit of its original launch popularity.
