10 Most Difficult Decisions You Are Forced To Make In Mass Effect
4. Save Ashley Or Kaiden
The choice to save either squad member Ashley Williams or Kaidan Alenko has become one of the most defining moments in the Mass Effect trilogy, and is one of the hardest choices to make. Either way, you lose a party member that has been with you from the beginning, which really stings. In a desperate attempt to stop Saren, Shepard and the STG must infiltrate and destroy his base, and nothing short of a nuke will get the job done. Just as the bomb is planted, geth begin pouring in, cutting Shepard off from his allies. With the bomb counting down to detonation, the player must decide between saving Ashley or Kaiden, resulting in the permanent loss in a party member. The hard part isn't choosing who lives, it's deciding who has to die. Maybe you're romancing Ashley. Perhaps you think Kaiden is cooler. No matter what you do and what your reasons are for doing it, you lose a vital member of your crew, and Shepard's journey doesn't get any easier from there.

Growing up on a healthy diet of JRPGs and point and click adventure games, young Kenny grew up playing Nintendo and Sony consoles, before becoming a snobby member of the PC Master Race. Nowadays, he resides in a time warp, refusing to believe the nineties ended as he fills up his Steam library with old point and clicks and cRPGs.
