10 Most Disturbing Dark Souls Bosses

8. Manus Father Of The Abyss

Dark Souls 2 Demon of Song
FromSoftware

The final boss at the end of the Atorias Of The Abyss expansion for the first game, Manus is the game's personification of evil. A horned mass of pure darkness that initially pulls players back in time to the land of Oolacile, Manus is an enemy you won't forget anytime soon - and not just for his looks.

Manus is also as formidable as his appearance, being considered one of the toughest fights in the series, unlike some of the bosses on the list. Extremely fast and aggressive with an arsenal of powerful spells, this fight will keep even the best players on their toes.

Despite his demonic aesthetic, Manus's lore is another borne through tragedy. Once a regular human, Manus was resurrected and tortured by Oolacile's sorcerers until he was driven to the point of madness, searching for his beloved pendant that once kept him sane.

Thankfully, if this fight gets a little too much for you to handle (which it will), help can be found in the form of summoning the adorable puppy Sif - if you manage to locate her first. And who doesn't want to have a canine sidekick?
