5. Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers
Like Mario Kart, every system worth its salt needs a Street Fighter. Harking back to the SNES (or forward to the Mini SNES, if you want to be fancy), once again we have Street Fighter II bringing various friendship groups together, if not only to break them apart again.
As with Cave Story +, if you'd like, the old-school original graphics options are present and correct, but new for this 2017 release is a motion-controller fireball-throwing minigame called The Way of the Hado. Literally in place to let you shout "Hadouken!" and fell a group of Shadaloo troops in quick succession, it's a throwaway inclusion that sits alongside new inclusions Evil Ryu and Violent Ken, plus menu theme options and a 30+ year art gallery to create a substantial fan package.
The only stickler is the high price - and the fact that on a standard Joy-Con, it's nigh-on impossible to throw a Ryu fireball on the D-pad - but hey, this is Street Fighter II; one of the most balanced and historic fighting games of all time.
It's still flawless at the core, and a perfect multiplayer experience, no matter how old you are.
