10 Most Essential Nintendo Switch Games (So Far)
3. Fast RMX
Literally filling the F-Zero gap on a Nintendo platform that's been empty for far, far too long, Fast RMX forgoes the power-ups of rivals like WipeOut: The Omega Collection, and focuses on pure, eye-melting speed.
That's speed coming at you at 60 frames per second too, no matter if you're in docked or handheld mode, and regardless of splitting the screen for multiplayer.
Fast RMX's only 'mechanic' other than jostling for position is ensuring you've activated one of two ship colours to chain an endless amount of boosts together, and as such, is one of the best-looking games on Switch; a perfect blend of gameplay and visuals resulting in the sort of anti-grav racer we've been willing Nintendo to make another instalment of.
Case in point: The last F-Zero game was back in 2004, though when Fast RMX is so exemplary, maybe we don't need one after all?
