10 Most Hated Mobile Games From Great Video Game Franchises

1. Final Fantasy: All The Bravest

The early Final Fantasy games look perfect for a reimagining on mobile, don’t they? The unmistakeable sprites, and turn based combat style would appear to be a perfect match for mobile hardware.

Unfortunately, Square Enix really dropped the ball with this one, producing the second lowest rated iOS game of all time according to Metacritic, runner-up only to a horrendous Kick-Ass tie-in. Cutting out the beautiful, interweaving, fantasy stories synonymous with the franchise, the game would focus on continuous battling with oversimplified combat, with the main aim seemingly to bait fans of Final Fantasy into paying out for collectible characters from the series, also available via loot box mechanics.

The 2013 mobile game came during a significant wobble in the quality of the Final Fantasy releases, coming on the tails of 2010’s Final Fantasy XIV, a game so disappointing it would take three years to completely rethink. Thankfully it does seem the series is now back on track, and we are unlikely to see the likes of All The Bravest again any time soon.
