10 Most Hated Mobile Games From Great Video Game Franchises

9. The Elder Scrolls: Blades

Diablo Immortal
Bethesda

We will be coming up on the tenth anniversary of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim in 2021, with little indication of a sixth major instalment on the horizon any time soon. The frustrating thing for fans is that in the time since, publisher Bethesda did find time to release the disastrous Fallout 76, and this mobile title based in Tamriel.

Blades is not completely without its merits. Say what you want about the playability of some Bethesda releases, but the characters and narrative rarely disappoint, which they don’t here, given the limited hardware. However, the game was criticised for its generic grind-filled gameplay and lack of free roaming elements. Part of this was through the impatience of people not placated by an unfulfilling stopgap in the Elder Scrolls series, although it does have fans in its own right.

The game was also later released for the Switch, with a neat ability to cross save across platforms and access a saved game on either device, but was no better received on console.
