10 Most Hated Resident Evil Enemies Of All Time

6. Bandersnatch (Resident Evil Code: Veronica)

Before Resident Evil 4 changed formula, part of what made the series scary was the fixed camera angles. Love or hate the controls, there's no denying the terror in rounding a corner into something that wants to kill/eat/lay eggs in you.

The danger and fear in the unseen is fine, no argument there.

However, an enemy that can slap you upside the head from another screen over isn't scary. It's just bloody annoying.

Enter, then, the Bandersnatch from Code: Veronica. These failed attempts at creating Tyrants on Rockfort Island are such a pain in the arse to deal with.

Not because they're nigh on indestructible or anything, just the aforementioned reach makes it harder to avoid them. Not content with off-screen assaults, that massively stretchy limb makes it easier for them to close the distance on you.

Given that you fight the majority of them in smaller confines, it doesn't make for a tense and frightening battle environment.

Rather a frustrating one, as you curse out tank controls and poor evasive maneuvers in the face of these Stretch Armstrong knockoffs.
