10 Most Hotly Anticipated Video Game Sequels

5. FIFA 13

Publisher: Electronic Arts Developer: EA Sports Platform: Xbox 360/PS3/PC/Wii/PS2/Vita/PSP/3DS Release Date: 28th September 2012 It might seem a little odd to continue a game that comes out every single year, with comparatively few new features and developments, but EA Sports' flagship football property is a phenomenon like few other series, chalking itself onto every series fan's must-haves list before the next installment is even announced. This year EA Sports are promising refinement, in both gameplay and presentation, with likenesses improved quite dramatically and that typical slickness dialed even further up. But really matters to gamers is that the gameplay remains as infectious as it was last year, with realistic animations and player movements and behaviours at the top of the list - and from what we've seen so far, it all looks good. Like the Call of Duty titles, FIFA's longevity and its sustained popularity depends on online multiplayer play, so to a certain extent as long as a new game comes out with a little bit of a tune-up, new squads and stadiums, the buyers will still flock to the game. But EA Sports aren't ones to rest on their laurels, and if they're doing enough to so obviously piss off PES Team Leader Jon Murphy, then they're obviously doing something right. http://youtu.be/Ia43OgdBHaE You can follow all of our FIFA 13 content by heading over to our dedicated FIFA 13 hub-page.
