10 Most Iconic Mortal Kombat Weapons

Mortal Kombat 3 introduced Cyrax, Sektor, and the cybernetic version of Smoke. Because of their helmets and the dreadlock-like wires on their head, it's easy to see that the three cyborgs were inspired by the Predator. And like the iconic alien hunter, the trio use a horde of advanced weaponry including electric harpoons, smoke bombs, and heat-seeking missiles.

The yellow-coated android, Cyrax, has the most diverse set of artillery since he is armed with a buzzsaw, a grinder, timed explosives, a pulse blade, and a self-detonation device. However, his most iconic weapon is his energy net.

For this attack, Cyrax shoots a glowing web out of his chesty cavity, which wraps around his enemy. Not only will this stun his opponent, it will drag them towards Cyrax, giving him the opportunity to get in a free hit.

Even though the Lin Kuei fighter has a great range of attacks, it's sensible to use the net as often as one can. While his enemy is incapacitated, Cyrax can launch incredible combos without worrying whether or not their opponent will block or counter them.
