10 Most Insane Video Game Leaks Ever
8. A Ubisoft Developer Leaked Assassin's Creed Unity On A Plane
In one of the most ludicrously coincidental - and therefore understandably implausible - leaks ever, a NeoGAF user made a post in March 2014 detailing a chance encounter he had with an Ubisoft employee while taking a flight.
The unknown employee, according to his claims, showed him footage of the upcoming, and at-the-time unannounced, new Assassin's Creed game.
The poster claimed the game would be set in Paris, the protagonist would be called Arno, and its working title was Assassin's Creed: Unity.
Even with Ubisoft's ridiculous inability to keep a lid on leaks for the Assassin's Creed franchise, skepticism was understandable.
Yet two weeks later, this seemingly tall tale was confirmed to be true when both screenshots and the title were leaked, prompting Ubisoft themselves to quickly confirm the game's existence.
But incredibly, this wasn't even the first time an Assassin's Creed game had been leaked in mid-air: Black Flag was previously confirmed when a Redditor happened to be sitting behind a PR employee for the game who was working on a presentation for its release.
