10 Most MIND-BLOWING Things We Learned From The Nintendo Gigaleak

6. What Mario Actually Says To Bowser

It's a question which has divided opinion since time immemorial (or at least, 1996): just what does Mario say to Bowser as he launches him face-first into a spiky bomb in Mario 64?

So long, dear Bowser? So long-a Bowser? According to the voice artist himself, Charles Martinet, it's, "so long, King Bowser." And yet still no consensus has formed.

Well, now we may finally know - or have all the more reason to argue - thanks to an astonishing, high-definition audio restoration job by @BulbSound. Technically this wasn't part of the gigaleak, but it's arrived at the same time and is adjacently mind-blowing.

So what's the conclusion? We're still not-a sure, Bowser.

He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
