10 Most Morally Bankrupt Things You’ve Ever Done In Video Games

2. Torturing Your Sims

The Sims gave you Godlike power, as you and you alone decided the fate of the digital denizens in front of you, and living happily wasn€™t even a consideration in your morally bankrupt brain. It€™s been well documented the creativity of cruelty surrounding the Sims. There are few games that give you the freedom to torture people in such delightful ways; whether it be emotional or physical, quick or drawn out over several months - it often feels like there€™s endless ways to create a virtual hell for your humble abode. Creating rooms to lure your Sim into, only to delete the door and watch them sink into depression and later insanity before dying a slow lonely death, these are all too common. Affairs, treachery, the orphaning of numerous children you yourself created, ironic punishments or intrinsically crafted methods of doom? Mere hijinks. Mass graves, tormenting widows, leaving a trail of urns from your neglected denizens - there are literally no ends to the misery people create in this game. A psychologist would have a field day unravelling the thought process behind some of the scenarios people have created, and that's precisely why it's so good to be bad.
