10 Most Overlooked Video Games Of 2017 (So Far)

3. What Remains Of Edith Finch

What Remains of Edith Finch
Playstation

The second game from the team that created The Unfinished Swan a few years ago, What Remains of Edith Finch is a much more accessible and much more ambitious game than its predecessor. A narrative-driven title told over a series of unique vignettes each with a distinct theme and gameplay style, the title explores the history of the Finch family through small personal stories.

But while a good chunk of these narrative-driven games are content to give players a rather passive experience, What Remains of Edith Finch is more involving than its contemporaries, using unique mechanics to drive home the themes of the plot.

Titles like this are niche by their nature, but it would be a mistake to let your prejudice for the genre make you miss out on one of the best games of the year so far.
