8. Creepy Monkeys - Halo 3

One of the weirdest Easter eggs of all time, the hidden human/monkey hybrid family hidden in a level of Halo 3 has mystified players for years now. The "cavemen" can be found tucked away in Sierra 117, clumped together as a Russian-doll style series of weird-as-all-hell monsters who all share the same human face.

Why were they there? Who the hell took the time to put them in this level? What even were they? These were all very valid questions posed around the game's release, most of which still haven't been answered to this day.

Of course, the notoriety of the creepy Easter egg meant everyone had to see it for themselves, scrutinising just what the hell it was all about by getting the best close up as possible.
