Lara has come across a few apocalypse-triggering items on her travels. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider she finds the Key of Chak Chel, which she removes from its resting place and triggers a brutal series of natural disasters, all in the name of trying to stop the artefact falling into the hands of Trinity. The death and destruction led Lara down a path of guilt but in Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation she triggers an apocalypse much worse than this.

In 1999, days before the beginning of the new millennium, Lara retrieved the Amulet of Horus. It was just a simple ankh-shaped artefact which Lara thought nothing of. Unfortunately for her, taking this artefact inadvertently released the Egyptian God Set who was hell bent on returning to Earth to bring destruction and chaos in his wake.

As Lara raced around Egypt to find pieces of the Armour of Horus which would summon the God to fight back against Set, she explored fantastical places rooted in Egyptian mythology, faced mythical monsters, plagues of locusts and her possessed former mentor.
It’s a rollercoaster race against time and one that sees Lara finally seal the God away only to (seemingly) die as she makes her escape.

Simon is a writer, cat dad and presenter of a geeky radio show with his husband. He loves Doctor Who (except 10 who can get in the bin…only joking.) He idolises Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Lara Croft and would 100% be a Sith Lord in a galaxy far, far away. He wishes life was like a musical so he’d actually be a good singer.
