10 MOST Powerful Mortal Kombat Characters Of All Time
4. Blaze
Blaze was initially a background character in Mortal Kombat II, where he appeared in the Pit II's background. But he would eventually be promoted as a playable fighter in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and then be the final boss of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.
A fire elemental, Blaze was created to oversee the Pyramid of Argus - a place that would arise once the realms were on the verge of destruction. He is also a being destined to die, as he is a catalyst of power that would be granted to anyone who manages to defeat him.
But Blaze is no pushover, and lore-wise, is one of the most dangerous characters in the Mortal Kombat universe. Not only does he carry the ultimate power inside him but he is also able to single-handedly cause Armageddon and devour existence itself.
In the end, however, Blaze would be defeated by Shao Kahn, and the Emperor of Outworld would gain his gift. This, in turn, forces Raiden to send a message back in time and kickstarts the first rebooted Mortal Kombat timeline.
