Love it or hate it, Fortnite is big. Burying your head in the sand and denying the runaway success of the battle royale genre will do nothing for you, it is here to stay (for now).
Recently voted as Game of the Year at the Golden Joysticks (which, let's face it, is lunacy) despite coming out last year, Epic's free to play title is going from strength to strength.
With the constant stream of updates and patches, as well the inclusion of its Seasons to change up gameplay, Fortnite is a steamrolling juggernaut of game played by millions.
Games are quick and fast-paced, with it's shooter/crafting hybrid gameplay keeping players on their feet and creating new and inventive ways of pulling off those winning kills. Packed with all sorts of additional content, from weapon and character skins, loot boxes (err, llamas) and oft-imitated dance moves, there's more than enough to entertain the masses.
It's either sucked you in, or it's the annoying game your nephew plays with his school friends, but one thing is clear: it's got its fans.
