10 Most Sacrilegious Video Game Movie Moments

1. Hitman/Hitman: Agent 47 - Drastic Character & Pace Changes

Hitman games, as a whole, are based around the concept of being the best, and overall silent, assassin.

Heck, it was the subtitle to the second game, after all. Yes, you could go all out, shooting/blowing things up and still proceed with the game, but the beauty in the stealth-craft is what made it fun.

Now, the first film, with Timothy Olyphant, did a fairly faithful job of capturing this essence, with a lot of it being based on subterfuge and some mild explosions towards the end. Unfortunately, they did away with the cloning subplot and instead moved it to political intrigue and body doubles. It wasn't Tinker, Tailor, but it wasn't complete toss either.

No, that would be Hitman: Agent 47. An action-heavy, ludicrous storyline about super-soldiers and Zachary Quinto chewing scenery as a villain made this the movie equivalent of Hitman: Absolution. To add further insult to injury, they couldn't even nail the iconic 47 look, with Rupert Friend visibly not bald.

Just goes to show, if at first you don't succeed, leave a franchise alone.
