10 Most Satisfying Boss Kills In The Legend Of Zelda Franchise
9. Gleeok (The Legend Of Zelda)
As of late we’ve been spoiled with long, gut-wrenching fights in the Zelda franchise. Especially with the release of Breath of the Wild, we understand the value of finally defeating a boss you’ve died to a hundred times. However, turning the clocks back to the very first Zelda game, the fights were shorter and simpler.
That all said, the recurring enemy Gleeok makes itself known in our memories by being both frustrating and genuinely engaging. It even became such a popular enemy that we saw this foe again in Phantom Hourglass. This fight tests the patience of the gamer as rushing this boss, while definitely possible, will deplete your hearts in rapid succession. It’s safer to stay back, dodging the fireballs and dragon heads Gleeok throws at you while awaiting the rare opportunity to strike without fear of harm. Having already defeated this boss several times by the last fight, killing Gleeok leaves you with a sense of pride and a desperate hope that this time it’s for good.
