7. The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess Brings The House Down (E3 2004)
In 2004, Nintendo delivered perhaps the greatest "one last thing" in E3 history, by dropping a wildly unexpected sizzle reel teaser for a new Legend of Zelda game, which would eventually become Twilight Princess.
As awesome as the teaser itself was, it was matched by the now-famous audience response, which was nothing short of ecstatic - it's the closest E3 has ever gotten to feeling like a bonafide rock concert.
It didn't hurt, of course, that producer Shigeru Miyamoto appeared on stage the second the teaser ended, rocking the Master Sword and playfully swishing it around while also holding the Hylian Shield close.
As much as E3 conferences are ultimately commercial exercises for publishers, this reveal was proof perfect that they can also bring out the best and most pure, emotional responses in players who just love games.
