More of a micro-transaction hell-scape than an actual playable game, the free-to-play Battlefield Heroes plays like it was designed specifically to suck out as much money from its audience as possible before they had enough time to realise that the game itself wasn't very good. Adopting a unique cartoon and near cell-shaded art design, the title on the surface actually looks as if it could have the potential to be an enjoyable experience and a break from the super-serious indulgence of the mainstream Battlefield games. Unfortunately, Heroes just comes across as a lazy attempt to cash-in on a well-known franchise. Featuring barely any content or original gameplay twists, Battlefield Heroes would have been a disaster even if it didn't insultingly push in-game purchases on the player at every given opportunity.
