10 Most Terrifying Enemies In The Fallout Franchise

7. Y-17 Trauma Override Harnesses

You could almost feel sorry for the Trauma Harnesses, if they weren't so bloody aggressive, tough, and disconcerting.

Trauma harnesses were state of the art combat suits that were designed to automatically return injured soldiers to their home base during combat. They were much more complex than Power Armor, being able to walk injured soldiers to medical aid as well as learn combat behaviours.

There were a few slight problems, though...

They frequently trapped the wearer inside, leading to a long, agonizing death, and would continue to carry the skeletons around while fighting both enemy and ally alike. The harnesses couldn't recognize when their wearer was dead, which meant that they would wander around eternally carrying dead soldiers and researchers.

Basically, they're spacesuits with skulls visible through the helmet that patrol the Big MT with powerful weapons and the skills to use them. The trauma suits make very good armour and at high levels they carry heavy hitters like incinerators, Gatling lasers, Tesla cannons, Gauss rifles, and plasma weapons. They move quickly and attack in packs and a player can quickly find themselves outnumbered and outgunned.

Also, the programmers added a nice touch that lets you hear bones rattling in the suit if you're within close range.

They're just nasty things.
