10 Most Terrifying Enemies In The Fallout Franchise
6. Cazadores
Cazadores are just dicks.
Honestly.
They are a huge, fast, erratically-flying version of a tarantula hawk wasp (which sounds awful even without the mutation.) Like so many other critters in the Wasteland, they were created by humans, basically because scientists were bored.
Cazadores were lab-created, but before long they escaped the remote area of their birth and spread to the Mojave, where they built massive nests and started breeding, even though that was never in the plan when they were created.
Whoops.
Cazadores are one of the first really tough enemies you encounter in New Vegas, and if you disregard warnings and try to head directly towards the city of New Vegas from your starting town you will inevitably be ambushed by a pack of the things when you are nowhere near having weapons or armour to take on one, let alone a bunch of them.
They are ridiculously fast and immensely difficult to hit without using VATS, as well as very Perceptive, making sneaking past them almost impossible. Their poison does massive damage to your character and if not treated quickly will kill even high-level builds.
That chittery, buzzing noise you hear when they make a beeline (waspline?) for you still haunts many a New Vegas veteran.
