It's fair to say that no other stalker enemy in the history of video gaming can instil as much fear in a player's heart as Nemesis can.

Sure, the likes of Slenderman, Huggy Wuggy and Freddy Fazbear may be more traditionally terrifying, but when it comes to sheer panic-inducing gameplay, few can hold a candle to the curiosity that Nemesis has to offer.

Constantly popping up during your treks across Racoon City, you're never truly prepared to throw down with him. He's capable of very quickly closing distances between you, and when he brings the rocket launcher out to play, you best be thinking on your feet to avoid becoming the human equivalent of jam-soaked rice pudding.

What also sets Nemesis apart from a lot of the competition is the manner in which he changes throughout the course of the game, mixing up his methods of attack to ensure that you never truly feel comfortable being in the same room as him. Even after you pump him full of lead and throw him into a giant vat of acid, he still comes back for one final brawl in which you have to obliterate him with a military-grade rail cannon.

Even then, that doesn't fully destroy him.
