Beloved by those that have played it, Haunting Ground is a cult favourite amongst horror fans for its foreboding atmosphere, genuinely obtuse puzzles and highly memorable characters.

The most notable of which is Daniella, the highly unstable maid of Belli Castle who wants nothing more than rip poor protagonist Fiona's innards you and claim them as her own in an effort to become a true woman.

See, Daniella is a homunculus, which means she's human in appearance but does not possess the ability to taste food or feel pleasure. She'd often be told that she was the perfect woman, but her inability to experience all facets of human life has lead to her losing her grip on sanity and become murderous as a result.

Of all the stalkers in Haunting Ground, Daniella is easily the most distinct and is likely to give you the most trouble. She's awfully quick on her feet, is capable of closing doors behind her to block your path and has a real knack for tracking you down whilst you're midway through a puzzle.

Daniella will definitely give you a hard-time, but the eventual fight in which she's impaled by the falling glass of an ornate window is one of the game's most beautifully twisted moments.
