7. Sly Cooper And Carmelita Fox The Sly Cooper Series
Theres something irrevocably charming about a hero and their roguish counterpart. Its why the interplay between Batman and Catwoman has remained compelling for so many decades, and honestly, have no idea why no one talks about this series anymore. Really, these two have so much chemistry it's amazing their games managed to stay E-rated. Raccoon thief Sly Cooper and police officer Carmelita Fox are a direct inversion of the standard dynamic, with Sly taking the role of a heroic thief, and Carmelita the role of the law officer determined to bring him in. Both are ultimately fighting for the common good, but from opposite sides of the law. Admittedly, most of their dynamic is rather antagonistic. Sly steals something, Carmelita shows up, and the two end up on a chase involving lots of jumping across rooftops and a ridiculously overpowered rocket pistol. After all, theres no better way to build a relationship than some light cardio exercises, acrobatic drills, and a sprinkling of death threats here and there, right?
