10 Most Underrated Sci-Fi Video Games
4. Aliens Vs Predator (2010)
Most film fans will happily agree that the Aliens vs Predator series of films is something of a mixed bag. With Aliens vs Predator: Requiem disappointing pretty much everyone with its release and hammering the nail in the coffin in terms of film releases, the 2010 video game for the franchise probably went right under most people's radars.
It's a real shame too because the game is a solid performing, faithful adaptation that really brings the best out of both species. Offering three separate campaigns for human Marines, Predators and Xenomorphs, the game gives the players the chance to enjoy a whole variety of play styles. From gruesome close up fights with the Aliens, standard first-person shooting of the Marines all the way to the stealth and strategy of the Predator, the game's ambition alone should be worth praising.
The game also features a multiplayer mode that offers seven different modes to play through. Most of these modes allow players to take control of their favourite side and battle it out against the rival species. From traditional all-out deathmatch formats, to a stealth-style Predator hunt, it's another series of touches that helps separate this game out from those that came before it.
