Want more of what Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions introduced and a slice of 2011-era narrative choice gameplay? Then swing yourself straight into Spider-Man: Edge of Time on PS3 or Xbox 360!

One of the main reasons the game didn't review as well as Shattered Dimensions was it only includes two versions of Spider-Man - the original Spider-Man and Spidey 2099 - rather than the four of Shattered. This, however, lets it tell a much better tale with less characters and a 'cause-and-effect' system means that actions in the game will affect the other Spider-Man depending on what you do.

Gameplay-wise this is very similar to Shattered Dimensions, but it also includes new unique abilities for both of the Spider-Men. OG Spidey gets hyper Spider Sense, which allows him to move super-fast and clobber enemies, while 2099 can create fake simulations of himself to bamboozle his enemies.

Narratively, one of the best things Edge of Time has going for it is that it isn't tied to any previous movie or existing Spidey storyline; instead it tells its own effective time-hopping tale of two Spider-Men working together to take down some unusual Spider-Man villains including Anti-Venom and a unique monster named Atrocity created by timey-wimey shenanigans.
