In the heyday of the SNES, there were a LOT of Spider-Man games. Some were much better than others, and some make the Spider-Man 3 movie look like a masterpiece.

In the case of The Amazing Spider-Man: Lethal Foes, bizarrely, this game never released in the west at all! It was completely exclusive to Japan, and that's a shame as this is arguable one of the best entries in Spidey's side-scrolling adventures back in the day.

Of course that means if you were to acquire it nowadays, it's all in Japanese, and there's no official translation. However, a ROM hacker known as Kepeb has actually released a fully-translated English version, allowing people overseas to experience this forgotten gem for themselves.

Gameplay-wise you've got everything you need here - web swinging, wall-crawling, brawling, a responsive jumping system and plenty of enemies to smack around. It's also got a beautiful comic-book art style, and it's definitely worth checking out.
