10 Most Underwhelming Bosses In Resident Evil History

4. Half The Bosses - Resident Evil 0

Resident Evil 0 is the most divisive game in the classic era of Resident Evil.

Coming right at the tail end of the fixed-camera survival horror style of Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0 was built around the same time as the incredible Resident Evil remake, intended to fill in the events that occurred to the BRAVO team when they arrived at the Spencer Mansion, 24 hours prior to the first game.

For some this game is a solid entry in the franchise, whereas for others something just doesn’t quite add up in this entry; whether it is the fact the game chooses to barely feature BRAVO team at all, the sudden addition of a second mansion or the dated feeling gameplay. Certainly, one of the weaknesses in this entry is its bosses.

The bosses in this game are largely unimaginative giant versions of creepy crawlies. A giant scorpion, giant centipede and giant bat all stand in your way and are defeated easily. The bat provides a degree of a frustrating challenge, but that comes more from the difficulty of aiming in the fixed camera perspective than from any actual creativity.
