5. Orphan Of Kos - Bloodborne

The Orphan of Kos is an interesting example of unexpected power. On one hand he's a Bloodborne boss, so any smart player will enter his boss battle with just a hint of reservation. On the other hand he looks like a weak, malnourished idiot wielding a giant shrimp - not exactly intimidating.

Appearing at the end of the Bloodborne DLC The Old Hunters, the Orphan is one of the players last obstacles in a slew of difficult battles. So most players will enter quietly confident in their abilities at this point, certain they can beat something like this with ease. Oh how wrong they are.

The Orphan of Kos is single-handedly the hardest boss in Bloodborne, maybe even the Souls franchise as a whole. His attacks are brutal, his speed doubly so, and obviously he has a second phase that just makes him even harder.

Yet, when compared to other boss battles such as Laurence, the First Vicar, it's ridiculous to think that this shrimp-wielding lunatic is more difficult.

But alas, after countless hours of trying - and failing - to kill the Orphan, almost everybody in the Soulsborne community agrees he's no joke.
