10 Most Useless Character Customisations Found In A Video Game
8. Tony Hawk's Project 8
The Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series may be back on terra firma with the recent release of Pro Skater 1 + 2, but fans won't ever forget the series' darker days.
In fairness, Project 8 was actually a pretty good game, if you can forgive how utterly wretched its character customisation options were.
The customisation suite is so piecemeal that developers Neversoft probably should've just given players a bunch of pre-made characters to choose from, because this offered only marginally greater freedom.
After picking one preset skater style, you've got just three faces to choose from, four pairs of eyes, seven hair options, and only a cursory amount of clothing and accessories.
It's painfully clear that Neversoft just threw this thing together in a few days and weren't much interested in letting players express themselves with more granular physical customisations, despite the prior entries into the franchise - especially Tony Hawk's Underground - giving players far more to work with.
