10 Most Useless Character Customisations Found In A Video Game

5. Soulcalibur VI

Fans are always going to be upset when a new video game sequel offers up less options than what came before, as was sadly the case with Soulcalibur VI.

The game's character creator touts a rather meager selection of weapons and clothes - even if you waited around for the disappointing DLC packs - some of which are frustratingly bound to a particular fighter's race or even locked to a specific gender, unlike in prior games. No fun.

Worst of all, you can't even give your fighter a damn beard.

All in all it felt like a restrictive step back for the series, with the two prior games in particular delivering far more breadth and depth in their customisation suites.

By comparison, Soulcalibur VI felt designed to stop players from ever getting too weird or creative with their character creation, which rather undermines the point, no?
