10 Most Useless Character Customisations Found In A Video Game

4. Mass Effect: Andromeda

It's fair to say that Mass Effect: Andromeda was a pretty disappointing game on the whole, as carries through to its rather lame character creation options.

There's only 10 head presets, and though the game does at least allow granular tweaking for most aspects of the face, it never really feels like the changes are having much (mass) effect, and it's therefore far trickier than it should be to generate the look you want.

Given that BioWare games are generally known for their immense freedom, this is definitely the stable's most restrictive character creator in many years, and like the rest of the game smacks of a title that was rushed out to market before it was ready - which is precisely what it was.

Though BioWare did give it a mild upgrade post-release, the character creator is still an aggressively mediocre monument to the game's generally missed potential. Given the studio's prior success in this department, this was a massive letdown.
