10 New Game Plus Features We Should've Started With
3. Change Outfits Outside Of Battle - Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth allows players to change up the appearance of their party during battle through the game's ludicrously entertaining job system, but for reasons that make basically no sense to anyone outside of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, this is initially restricted outside of battle.
Though you can simply use a changing room to switch costumes for battle, there's no way to change your duds for merely milling about the massive game world. On your first playthrough, you're stuck wearing the default wares.
It isn't until you beat Infinite Wealth and unlock the Premium Adventure - effectively its version of New Game Plus, allowing you to keep playing in the game world post-completion - that your battle outfits will also be worn by your party outside of battle.
Given that the costumes are purely cosmetic and offer nothing advantageous gameplay-wise, it's incredibly odd to deny players the ability to customise Ichiban and company's drip during their first run through the game.
Plus, considering how long Infinite Wealth's campaign is - totalling 40-50 hours even at the lower end - it'll likely be a "one and done" affair for many players.
