10 New Improvements The Bioshock Sequel Needs To Have

8. Better Pacing

The Bioshock games are known for the atmosphere that's created from the absolutely stunning environments, however one of the biggest bugbears for the series is the often scattergun pacing. The first Bioshock struck a great balance between slow exploration and combat, however by the time Irrational got around to making Infinite the series has taken a decidedly combat-centric approach. Now, there's nothing wrong with a bit of gunplay - Bioshock is after all at its heart a first-person shooter, although these games have always came to life when we are given time to explore. When I'm playing a Bioshock game I want to be able to explore every nook and cranny the world has to offer me, not hide behind walls during yet another predictable firefight.
